Solar-Konzept has begun constructing a 28 MW PV plant in Bavaria, Germany. The installation, which uses a total of 120,000 modules from REC, is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
The 50 million euro solar park will cover approximately 40 hectares when complete. The land for the solar park, formerly a NATO airport, is leased for a period of 20 years by the Federal Office for Real Estate.
This is the largest REC installation to date, according to the company.
