Chandler, Ariz.-based Engenuity Systems Inc., a supplier and reseller of networked control products, has introduced a new SunSpec-certified product line for solar energy applications. SunSpec, a standards organization, aims to create a standard interoperable platform in which all solar-related products can integrate into one open and independent system, Engenuity Systems explains.
The Engenuity ES-W100 is an entry-level weather station that monitors solar panel energy efficiency. The product features sensors that are specific for PV power generation panels, as well as an integrated ambient air-temperature sensor.
The Engenuity ES-W 300 is a commercial weather station that monitors solar plant energy efficiency. It measures ambient air temperature, wind speed, wind direction, relative humidity, barometric pressure and rain. The unit also features a wireless communication transceiver for remote reporting, Engenuity Systems notes.
