Evergreen Solar Inc., a manufacturer of String Ribbon solar power products, says its modules have been chosen for a 525 kW installation at Patriot Place, a 1.3 million square-foot shopping, dining and entertainment complex located adjacent to Gillette Stadium, home of the New England Patriots, in Foxboro, Mass.
More than 2,800 of Evergreen Solar's ES-A series panels, spanning the roofs of seven buildings, will be used in the construction. These panels will be visible to fans who attend games and events at Gillette Stadium and visitors to Patriot Place's upper retail plaza.
The solar installation is being constructed by Baltimore-based Constellation Energy's projects and services groups.
