Independent Energy Solutions Inc. (IES), a solar energy development and construction firm, has completed construction on a utility-scale rooftop photovoltaic system for Wilco Industries in Vista, Calif.
The 454 kW system was developed under contract for the local utility – San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E) – and Renewable Energy Services (RES), a service-disabled veteran-owned small business.
The project was funded through SDG&E's Sustainable Communities Program, which installs green energy systems for LEED certification and helps the utility meet its renewable energy portfolio requirements. It includes 2,112 Kyocera solar modules.
