Isofoton Plans 50 MW PV Plant In Dominican Republic

Spain-based Isofoton has signed an agreement with the president of the Dominican Republic, Lionel Fernandez Reyna, to build a 50 MW pilot photovoltaic plant in the country. Isofoton says this region of the world offers ‘enormous’ growth potential for solar, in both rural electrification projects and large-scale central plants.

In addition, Isofoton formalized its support for the country's local workforce by confirming its goal of becoming a bridge between the Universities of Malaga and Seville and the Dominican Republic in order to promote the training of a renewable energy workforce.
