The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) has selected Fairfax, Va.-based ManTech International Corp. for a contract to provide scientific, engineering and technical support assistance (SETA) services for the department's SunShot Initiative. The 17-month contract is valued at about $4 million, according to ManTech.
The DOE SunShot Initiative is a collaborative national initiative to make solar energy technologies cost-competitive with other forms of energy by reducing the cost of solar energy systems by about 75% before 2020.
