P4Q Electronics, a vendor of solar tracking controllers, has debuted the Suntrack 32H solar tracking controller for concentrating solar power (CSP) applications.
CSP devices depend on the accuracy of a controller to keep the sun on their pipes that create steam to move turbines, P4Q Electronics explains. The Suntrack 32H follows the sun using the most accurate algorithm available, according to the company.
The controller works for both hydraulic and electric motors, and includes an interface that can be accessed wirelessly or via Ethernet. The product also includes the Suntrack Sensor package, which consists of an absolute inclinometer, a sun sensor and a temperature sensor. Other sensors, such as wind meters and encoders, can easily be added by attaching them to the controller without opening the box, the company adds.
