PanelClaw, a provider of solar mounting systems, has added PV modules from Suntech, Yingli Solar, Trina Solar and Kyocera to its UL 2703 listing.
PanelClaw says it is the first U.S. company to have systems and components listed under UL 2703, a new UL subject specifically focused on evaluating solar PV mounting systems.
The listing is designed to enable installers to reduce grounding costs by using modules from these manufacturers. To achieve UL 2703 component recognition and system listing, all PanelClaw solar mounting products completed a testing program that included temperature and humidity cycling, electrical resistance and conductance testing, manufacturing and operational quality reviews, and module specific conductivity and mechanical load testing.
