REC has launched its first building-integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) solution, which combines the REC Peak Energy Series Module and the proven Solrif installation system distributed by Ernst Schweitzer AG.
The product is designed for building in-roof solar systems. It is weatherproof and aesthetically pleasing, fitting directly into the roof and replacing conventional building material, the company says. The product can be used for new roofs or for retrofit purposes.
The REC Peak Energy Integrated is available in France for purchase now and will soon be offered in other markets in the first quarter of 2011. REC adds that it plans to increase production of this offering and to expand its BIPV product range.
