Norway-based REC says that its wafers and modules are now certified to benefit from the 10% premium available as part of an Italian photovoltaic incentive program for solar systems containing European components.
REC modules containing wafers and/or cells produced in Norway are now certified by TUV as European content. All products produced in Norway, as part of the European Economic Area Agreement, are treated as European, the company explains.
REC notes that it has an Italian-based module sales office and has several large systems already installed in the country, which is the second largest solar market worldwide.
