Scheuten Solar, based in the Netherlands, says it has produced and delivered 378 custom-made building-integrated PV (BIPV) modules for Ampliacion del Corte Ingles Castellana, Edificio Comercial, a retail and office building in Madrid, Spain.
The monocrystalline solar cells inside the glass-glass panels generate a maximum power of 60 kW and simultaneously save energy required for cooling by keeping direct sunlight out, Scheuten Solar says. The company engineered the modules in close cooperation with the facade builder in Spain.
