The Schletter Group, a global manufacturer of solar PV mounting systems, has moved its North American headquarters from Shelby, N.C., to the Charlotte, N.C., metropolitan area.
From the new Charlotte base, a team of 15 employees drives U.S. distribution activities, as well as handles project management and technical consulting for customers. At the same time, the location functions as the headquarters of the Schletter Group’s North American business, which also includes a sales office in Canada.
“North America is definitely a key market for our products,” says Oliver Renzow, head of Schletter’s North American operations. “With our new offices, which are conveniently located near transport routes, and an expanded, highly motivated sales team, we are ideally positioned to further develop our market position.”
Production takes place at the company’s plants in Germany and China, as well as at suppliers in Turkey and Eastern Europe.
“Our global supply chain allows us to react flexibly to peak demand in the project business,” adds Renzow. “With our global footprint, we also have various options when it comes to import duties in order to find the most cost-effective solution for our customers.”
