The Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) and the Tennessee Solar Energy Industries Association (TenneSEIA) have entered into a formalized partnership that is designed to coordinate the resources of both organizations and promote the growth of Tennessee's solar energy market.
‘Tennessee is one of the top markets for solar energy manufacturing in the U.S.,’ notes Tom Kimbis, vice president of strategy and external affairs for national SEIA.
There are now 209 solar companies operating throughout the state, including 16 manufacturing facilities. Tennessee's panel production capacity grew by 62% in the past year, SEIA adds.
