SolarWorld Supplying Modules For Oregon Hospital’s PV Project

Kaiser Permanente's Westside Medical Center, currently under construction in Hillsboro, Ore., will host a 102 kW solar system comprising 468 solar panels installed on its parking garage.

SolarWorld, also headquartered in Hillsboro, has entered into a contract to supply its modules for the project. The company says this deal highlights the low-emission transportation benefit of in-market solar production.

Coupled with other sustainable-design elements, the PV installation is expected to help the hospital obtain Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Gold certification for the hospital when it is completed in 2013, SolarWorld adds.
