Southern California Edison Signs PPAs for 40 MW

Infigen Energy US Development LLC has entered into two 20-year power purchase agreements (PPAs) with Southern California Edison to supply electricity from its Wildwood Solar I and Pumpjack Solar I projects.

Infigen says each of these projects will have a nameplate capacity of 20 MW. Wildwood and Pumpjack are part of a joint development arrangement between Infigen and Pioneer Green Solar II LLC.

Both projects are located on previously disturbed lands in unincorporated Kern County and are ‘well advanced in the development cycle,’ the company says. They have each obtained conditional use permits from the Kern County Planning Commission through unanimous approval and are in the process of executing interconnection agreements with Pacific Gas & Electric Co. and the California ISO.

Both projects are expected to be ready for construction next year.
