Spire Corp. says it has signed a contract to provide MAGE Solar, based in Ravensburg, Germany, with a PV module assembly line to be established in Dublin, Georgia. This automated line will assemble laminates into completed modules at the rate of 50 MW per year.
‘MAGE has been successful importing modules into the U.S. for a range of system projects. The manufacturing line that we are providing allows them to better control pricing for increased market penetration especially by adding significant 'Made in the USA' value," says Roger G. Little, chairman and CEO of Spire Corp.
The first modules are expected to roll off the production line in late April.
