Suntech Power Holdings Co. Ltd. will supply solar panels for a 4.7 MW photovolatic plant in Young'an, Kaohsiung, Taiwan. Owned and operated by the Taiwan Power Co. and developed by Fortune Electric Co. Ltd., the new solar plant will nearly double the island's current installed solar capacity, Suntech says.
Delivery of the 16,640 polycrystalline modules, each with a peak power output of up to 280 W, will begin in June. The system is scheduled to start supplying power in early 2011.
