Sunvalley Solar To Install Commercial PV Project In California

0

Sunvalley Solar Inc., a provider of solar power technology and solar integration systems, has signed a commercial solar installation contract with Seaview Packing in Coachella, Calif.

Seaview Ranch, a kumquat and sweet lime supplier, has been operated by Ron Jensen and his family since 1983. The ranch was originally owned by a long-since defunct produce company in the Los Angeles Wholesale Produce Market. Sunvalley was awarded a contract to design and install a 145.16 kW solar power system.

The installation is expected to comprise 1,528 solar panels from Tianwei Solarfilms and two inverters – one 100 kW unit and one 35 kW unit – from PV Powered.

The contract is supported by nearly $318,000 of solar incentive rebates from the local utility company and about $200,000 of federal tax cash grants from the U.S. Department of Treasury, Sunvalley Solar notes. The system is expected to generate 224,364 kWh of electricity annually.
