Trojan Battery Co., a manufacturer of deep-cycle batteries, has expanded its absorbed glass mat (AGM) product line for the renewable energy market space with the launch of the U1-AGM and 22-AGM models.
The new deep-cycle AGM batteries address the power needs of renewable energy off-grid and grid-tied solar home systems, solar lighting, industrial and backup power applications that require daily battery cycling capabilities, the company says. The addition of the U1-AGM and 22-AGM models expands Trojan's current AGM line to now feature a wider variety of battery sizes. Â
According to the company, the new AGM batteries are ideal for solar systems in remote locations that have no access to the grid or where it is too expensive to pull power to a particular area. In these applications, reliable power and low maintenance are key factors that contribute to the overall performance and maintenance of the system.Â
