IXYS Corp., a provider of power semiconductors and ICs for power conversion, has released a new high-voltage diode called DNA30E2200PA. This 2200 V specialized rectifier in a TO-220 housing is designed as a decoupling diode for photovoltaic systems.
According to the company, the product features excellent electrical characteristics, ruggedness and reliability. The diode is designed and optimized to fulfill all industrial standards and covers the enhanced requirements for photovoltaic systems (IEC 62548). This new standard includes an increase of the system voltage that leads to the higher voltage requirements for the specialized power semiconductors in these applications.
