Solar developer Ecoplexus Inc. has commissioned six PV projects totaling 54 MW in North Carolina.
Ecoplexus says the six projects, reaching $79 million in project value, represent the completion of the company’s second and third portfolios in North Carolina. They will be added to Ecoplexus’ growing independent power producer asset base.
Currently, the company has an additional 36 MW under construction in the U.S. and Japan. Overall, Ecoplexus anticipates financing and constructing a total of 120 MW this year across its countries of operation. Ecoplexus adds it also manages a development pipeline of approximately 1 GW across 12 states and internationally.
“We recognize the need for clean renewable generation and are proud to contribute to North Carolina’s renewable portfolio standards,” says John Gorman, CEO of Ecoplexus. “We plan to continue increasing our capacity of megawatts installed per year to address the added demand for renewables.”
