Soltec, a manufacturer and supplier of single-axis solar trackers, has increased its manufacturing capacity of the SF Utility tracker equipment by 50%, reaching more than 2 GW of annual capacity. The company says its facility in Spain has added three new robotic lines to automate manufacturing of mechanical components and increase supply-support infrastructure.
According to Soltec, the capacity increase will sustain rising sales after the company’s SF Utility system attained over 1 GW of annual sales in the U.S. and Latin America. It also addresses market feedback of customer concerns about supply lead-times of tracker equipment in the market, the company adds.
Soltec CEO Raul Morales said, “Automation of our manufacturing operations assures our customers of reliable supply lead-times, in-stock inventory and unparalleled service. Our 12 years of global experience in the large-scale PV sector teaches us about regional cycles and circumstances, and our strategic response is right-place, right-time manufacturing to supply customers with reliable qualities and low cost.”
