AEG Power Solutions (AEG PS) says its Protect PV.500-UL has received certification for meeting product safety standards for connection to the U.S. power grid. TUV Rheinland of North America tested and certified the Protect PV.500-UL as outlined in the UL 1741 standard for solar inverter equipment.
According to AEG PS, the inverter is ideally suited for utility-scale photovoltaic applications. It features an efficiency greater than 98% and incorporates several grid-management features designed to allow it to adapt to utility requirements.
A key feature of the inverter is its power stack with advance-design measuring and control technology, enabling DC input voltages of up to 1,000 V DC, the company adds.
