ALTA Refrigeration has completed a 98.7 kW solar photovoltaic system on the roof of its Peachtree City, Ga., facility. The system features modules made by Suniva.
Atlanta-based Inman Solar helped develop and integrate ALTA Refrigeration's project. According to ALTA Vice President Terry Childers, the company has reduced its power usage by more than 50% and reduced its demand rate by more than 30%.
The project made use of state and federal grants, including funding that was part of the Clean Energy Property Rebate program, as administered by the Georgia Environmental Facilities Authority.
