New Hampshire-based connector manufacturer Burndy has introduced its UM Die line of copper cable crimping products.
Burndy says the new die offerings straddle the brazed seam of the YAD series lug to maintain closure during the crimp cycle. The UM dies are designed to crimp YAD/YAV lugs accepting copper cables sizes from 8 AWG to 4/0 AWG. The company says these stainless steel dies can be used with DLO/Flex cable and are compatible with all Burndy tooling that accepts a U die envelope.
