centrotherm SiTec GmbH, a subsidiary of centrotherm photovoltaics AG, has signed a contract for the basic engineering and technology concept for a polysilicon factory with IDEA Polysilicon Co.
The factory, which will have an annual capacity of 10,000 tonnes, will be situated in the Saudi Arabian city of Yanbu. centrotherm says it was selected for its competitive polysilicon technology and equipment, as well as for the availability of further opportunity along the solar value chain, including the production of metallurgical silicon and the manufacturing of ingots and wafers.
