Online auction firm eBay Inc. says it has completed a 665 kW PV installation at Topaz, its data center in South Jordan, Utah.
In a recent blog post, the company writes that the data center, which opened in spring 2010, is now home to a PV project designed and installed by SPG Solar. The system includes 72,000 square feet of solar modules and is expected to produce approximately 924,013 kWh of electricity annually.
eBay expects the system, which includes 2,375 solar modules, to pay for itself in four years.
