Four Chinese Solar Companies Announce New Anti-Tariff Alliance

0

Four China-based solar manufacturers have formed an alliance to respond to the U.S. Department of Commerce's (DOC) recent decision to apply tariffs to modules originating from China.

The group, called the Solar Energy Promotion Alliance, includes Yingli Green Energy, Suntech Power, Trina Solar and Canadian Solar, according to the Wall Street Journal. The alliance plans to fight the dumping allegations leveled against Chinese producers by the DOC.

Yingli, Suntech, Trina and other China-based solar companies spoke out earlier this month against the tariffs, claiming that a trade war would hurt the entire solar sector.
