The 12.5 MW IND Solar Farm at the Indianapolis International Airport has been commissioned.
The solar installation comprises Sanyo 44,128 panels with 20 Solectria Renewables SGI 500XT inverters on a 75-acre site. Project partners include General Energy Solutions, Telamon Corp., Johnson Melloh Solutions, Indianapolis Airport Authority, and Indianapolis Power and Light Co. (IPL).
The electricity produced by the solar farm is directly linked to the IPL power grid.
