Germany-based inverter manufacturer KACO new energy has secured a cooperation agreement with Samsung SDI, a manufacturer of lithium-ion-based storage media.
KACO has recently introduced the Powador-gridsave, an energy storage and management system. Samsung SDI is expected to serve as a source for the supply of the batteries necessary for the system.
The companies' memorandum of understanding (MOU) was signed by Sangjin Park, CEO of Samsung SDI, and Ralf Hofmann, CEO of KACO new energy. The MOU calls for the companies to support each other in defining optimized energy storage systems. KACO new energy intends to pursue storage systems in both the private and industrial sectors.Â
