Main Street Power, Morgan Stanley Launch Solar Pilot Program

Main Street Power Co. Inc., a national solar developer, has launched a free energy pilot program subsidized through Solar Access California (SACA), a partnership between Main Street Power and Morgan Stanley.

Working with nonprofit agencies, the partnership's program is designed to deliver free solar power to income-qualified residents of multi-unit apartments across California.

Under a No-Cost Power Purchase Structure, SACA will own and operate the systems, while giving the energy to the residents at no cost for 10 years. In addition, each of the projects will utilize state-of-the-art solar equipment and monitoring systems, and the companies will train local nonprofit workers to gain additional skills to bring back to the communities where they live.
