meteocontrol Partners With Ampt To Incorporate String-Level Data

meteocontrol North America Inc. – a provider of energy and weather data management, yield assessment, auditing, technical due diligence and solar system monitoring – has formed a partnership with Ampt, a designer of active electronics for solar PV modules, to deliver string-level data as part of its monitoring software solution.

This partnership allows engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) professionals and system integrators to more effectively monitor and manage large-scale PV systems, according to meteocontrol.

The company's software platforms will incorporate Ampt's StringView technology to provide customers with string-level production insight gathered from each module. meteocontrol's safer'Sun and Virtual Control Room portals use Ampt's module-integrated DC optimizers to collect string-level data, and then manage information to identify and locate problems.

Operating via a wireless two-way connection, the monitoring solution retrieves synchronous data from up to 250 strings, with 0.25% measurement accuracy, and is accessible via Modbus protocol to easily integrate with other on-site devices, the company explains.
