National Solar Enters Deal With SolarWorld

National Solar Power Partners, which says it is building solar energy facilities totaling 700 MW in Florida, has entered into a purchase agreement with PV manufacturer SolarWorld.

In partnership with Hensel Phelps Construction Co., National Solar has opted to use SolarWorld's modules at its projects in Gadsden, Hardee and Liberty counties, Fla. The solar farms will be built out in segments of 20 MW on about 200 acres each. The company plans to begin construction of the first farm, in Hardee County, later this year.
