New Energy Technologies Inc. and scientists from the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) have fabricated the largest-area organic photovoltaic (OPV) module ever produced at NREL, according to New Energy Technologies.

The parties are collaboratively developing New Energy's SolarWindow technology, which is expected to be capable of generating electricity on see-through glass. The latest module measures 170 square centimeters, more than 14 times larger than previous OPV devices fabricated at NREL.
