The New York Solar Energy Industries Association (NYSEIA), the trade association representing the New York solar energy industry, has elected Ron Kamen, founding partner and chief development and public policy officer of EarthKind Solar, as president.
Kamen has more than 20 years of experience in the energy industry in policy, sales and marketing, consulting and public education.
Also elected to one-year terms as officers for 2011 were the following executives:
R. Sail Van Nostrand, president of Energy by Choice Ltd., a solar contracting firm specializing in solar electric, solar hot water and geothermal heating systems, was elected vice president.
Victoria Hollick, principal at Conserval Systems – the company that invented and commercialized solar air heating around the globe with its SolarWall technology – was named secretary. She has been extensively involved with solar thermal policy in different parts of the world.
Mike Bailis, founding partner of SUNation Solar Systems Inc., was named treasurer.
