NRG and the National Football League's Philadelphia Eagles have entered into a renewable energy project development partnership for the Eagles' Lincoln Financial Field.
The project, which is expected to be completed in December, calls for the installation of more than 11,000 solar modules, totaling more than 3 MW of generating capacity. The modules will be installed along 11th Street and on the south facade of Lincoln Financial Field, as well as in the parking lot.
NRG will also install 14 micro wind turbines along the top of the stadium's north and south sides.
