Solar Frontier, a manufacturer of copper indium selenide (CIS) thin-film PV modules, has signed a module supply agreement with developer NRG Solar LLC for 13.2 MW of Solar Frontier's CIS thin-film solar modules.
The original contract was inked in December 2011, and the modules were shipped and delivered to NRG this month. The deal marked the first agreement between the two companies and the first purchase of thin-film CIS technology in NRG Solar's history.
