Petra Solar, the National Oil and Gas Authority (NOGA), the Bahrain Petroleum Co. (BAPCO) and Caspian Energy Holdings have signed an agreement for a 5 MW distributed solar energy project in Bahrain.
Petra Solar's SunWave system is designed to tie directly into the electric grid via installation on distribution poles and similar grid infrastructure. The system is managed through a smart grid communications network, IntelliView, for centralized command and control, the company adds.
