PV Evolution Labs (PVEL) says its Berkeley, Calif., lab has achieved ISO/IEC 17025:2005 accreditation. PVEL provides solar panel testing and calibration services and promotes best practices in the North American solar market.
The ISO 17025 accreditation is a global standard for laboratories and provides a rigorous benchmark for approving technical and quality system competence, with a focus on continual process improvement, according to the company.
PVEL sought ISO 17025 accreditation through the American Association of Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA). Through A2LA, PVEL's accreditation is recognized by the 107 combined signatories of the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation and Asia-Pacific Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation.
