Norway-based PV modules supplier REC has inaugurated a 1.7 MW solar power plant in Yonago, Tottori, Japan.
Built by REC partner Advantec, the plant comprises 7,056 REC Peak Energy Series solar panels and is expected to generate over 1,840 MWh of electricity annually.
Advantec and Japanese radio and TV station BSS equally share the ownership of the plant, which will feed 100% of its electricity back to the grid. The installation was constructed in three months, Advantec notes.
