Satcon Technology Corp. says it has been selected by Q-Cells for multiple large-scale solar PV power plants in Ontario. Under the agreement, Q-Cells will deploy 20 1 MW Prism solutions. Prism is Satcon's fully integrated utility platform that comes with factory-integrated medium-voltage transformers, switchgear and electronics.
These projects are contracted under the Renewable Energy Standard Offer Program developed and overseen by the Ontario Power Authority and will connect to local utility PUC Distribution Inc. They are scheduled to be operational in the third quarter of this year.
