Chimes International Ltd., a provider of services and support for people with disabilities, has activated a new rooftop solar energy system at the Terry Allen Perl Center, located at 3630 Milford Mill Road in Baltimore County.
The 250 kW project, which comprises 1,079 solar panels, was designed, engineered and constructed by BITHENERGY, which will also handle the system's ongoing operations and maintenance.
Chimes will purchase the renewable energy generated by the system under a 20-year power purchase agreement with Washington Gas Energy Services, which financed and owns the solar array.
