Soltec Initiates 6 MW Solar Installation In Italy

0

Soltec Energias Renovables plans to begin a 6 MW solar installation in the region of Puglia, Italy. This installation initiates the first phase of a 30 MW investment package that will be developed in 2009-2010 in Italy.

The 6 MW installed will use the latest technology developed by Soltec – the SA60, a single horizontal north-south axis solar tracker. The SA60 tracker has minimal ground coverage and is optimized for installed power, producing up to 25% more power than a fixed installation, according to Soltec.

The company has also developed the SOLTEC TT 10000, a 10 kW three-phase inverter with more than 97% efficiency, to use in these new installations. Soltec has contracted PricewaterhouseCoopers Corporate Finance as consulting entity for the sale of this first phase of projects in Italy.
