Suniva Inc., a U.S.-based manufacturer of crystalline silicon solar cells and modules, says it is expanding into new markets in Latin America.
Following the commencement of several ground-mounted projects containing over 12 MW of Suniva's modules in Puerto Rico, the company's solar modules will soon be deployed in Mexico in substantial rooftop arrays.
Suniva also has begun its entry into South America, with an initial launch in Brazil. The company has started its Inmetro (Brazil's National Institute of Metrology, Quality and Technology) certification process, a required prerequisite to sell modules within Brazil.
