Swinerton Renewable Energy, an engineering, procurement and construction contractor in the utility-scale solar sector, says it has been selected to design and build over 120 MW of generation capacity at multiple solar power plants this year.
The projects, which range from 5 MW to 30 MW, will be constructed both in the U.S. and abroad.
In addition to designing and building the solar plants, Swinerton has launched a new division focused on operating and maintaining solar projects. The company has appointed industry veteran Joe Brotherton to lead the new operations and maintenance division as technical services manager.
