Japan-based Toshiba has entered the solar power generation sector with a series of PV plants totaling 6.5 MW.
According to Bloomberg, the company plans to begin operations at a 1.5 MW project in Japan's Kanagawa prefecture in early April. Three additional plants are expected to follow, with operations to begin by the end of March 2014.
Toshiba is also reportedly considering activity in other renewable energy sectors, including wind and geothermal.
