Borrego Solar, Kyocera Pursuing 1.2 MW Photovoltaic System In San Diego

The University of California, San Diego, has selected Borrego Solar Systems Inc. to install a 1.2 MW solar electric system that employs Kyocera solar photovoltaic modules.

The $9 million system, financed through a power purchase agreement with Solar Power Partners, will supply about 1.5 million kWh of energy per year. When complete, the system will comprise 5,790 Kyocera KD205 solar modules mounted on parking structures and buildings across the 1,200-acre campus.
