SunReports To Provide Monitoring For Milwaukee’s Solar Program

SunReports, a provider of residential and commercial solar energy monitoring for both solar PV and solar hot water systems, says the City of Milwaukee's solar program has named SunReports as its official monitoring system provider.

The city's solar program, dubbed ‘Milwaukee Shines,’ will use SunReports' monitoring system to help track energy use and solar generation across the city's properties, with the goal of supplying the program with data to plan for future solar installations, SunReports explains.

The company's Apollo2 system will be installed at more than 20 city and community locations, including firehouses, the central library, Boys and Girls Club locations and the Milwaukee School of Engineering.

"Our technology will accurately monitor both PV and solar hot water installations and display that information on both Web portals and Facebook," says Thomas Dinkel, SunReports' CEO." Then, our online interface will translate that monitoring data into a tool for both building the city's bottom lines and sparking community conversations on energy."
