Citing ‘adverse market conditions in the worldwide PV industry,’ Germany-based SCHOTT Solar AG has announced that its subsidiary SCHOTT Solar PV has ended production of crystalline photovoltaics.
The company has ceased manufacturing operations at its Albuquerque, N.M., facility.
However, SCHOTT says it will continue to support concentrating solar power in the North America market with business development, research, sales and customer service.
The company says it will continue to meet the legal obligations of its customers and will retain an after-sales PV service team to do so.
