JinkoSolar Holding Co. Ltd. has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Jinchuan Group Co. Ltd., a Chinese state-owned enterprise, to jointly invest and develop a 200 MW PV solar power plant in Jinchang, Gansu Province, China.
The project, which involves approximately RMB 2 billion in investment, has been approved by Gansu Development and Reform Commission and is expected to be completed and connected to the grid by June 2013.
‘Jinchang receives large amounts of sunlight and has ample land resources, which make it very suitable for PV power plant development,’ notes Xiande Li, chairman of JinkoSolar.
